From the garden to the bay

Along with what is growing in the kitchen garden, you may be able to catch something fresh straight out the front of the house, depending on the season and your angling ability.

Sand whiting, flathead, squid, blue swimmer crab and even octopus can be found in the waters around Sunrise Beach. A couple of kayaks are available if you want to venture a little further, but you will need to bring your own fishing gear.

In the spirit of sustainability, please only keep what you can eat fresh that day, and return everything else to the sea for tomorrow. Please also dispose of fishing line, hooks and bait responsibly.

NSW law requires a current recreational fishing licence, so please organise one before you arrive.
