About Fifty Five Port Stephens

Our much-loved family beach house on Sunrise Beach

Fifty Five has been part of our family for more than 25 years.

It is our home, our haven and the place we come back to when we need grounding, celebrating or simply time together. Over the years, it has held birthdays, holidays, long lunches, sandy feet, salty swims, quiet mornings, loud family dinners and the kind of memories that seem to stay in the walls.

Now, we get to share it with guests who understand that a place like this is not just somewhere to stay. It is somewhere to slow down, reconnect and feel part of the rhythm of the bay for a while.

A home with heart

Fifty Five is not a polished hotel or a standard luxury rental.

There are no theatre rooms, no glossy perfection and no rush to fill every moment with something impressive. Instead, you will find books pulled from shelves, collected pieces from years of travel, salty curios, old favourites, family treasures and corners that have slowly come together over time.

It is relaxed, personal and a little bit quirky. The kind of house where you can kick your shoes off, cook something good, wander down to the beach, curl up with a book and let the day unfold without too much of a plan.
